Instruction Manuals
An instruction manual contains information on how to use a product.
An instruction manual shows the user of a product how it is to be used and cared for as well as what needs to be borne in mind to maintain safety standards.
A handbook covers the whole range of aspects relating to a product such as assembly, fitting out, operation, servicing and, as the case may be, disposal. An operating manual is concerned only with the actual operation of the product.
It is a legal requirement that every product must be accompanied by an operating manual.
The drafting of instructions is regulated via the European standard EN 62079.
